About The Holiday Lighters
We are owned by firefighters and our lead installers are all first responders. The owners of The Holiday Lighters have been installing lights on homes and businesses since 1999. The founder of The Holiday Lighters is currently a fire captain has been a first responder since 2000. All of our installers spend at least one year being trained by a lead installer before they are allowed to install lights on their own. We do not only provide a great service, we become part of your holiday tradition. Additionally, we help support Fire Fighters Aide. This non-profit provides help to injured or sick firefighters and their families. We look forward to building a tradition with you! Thank You!

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you use my lights?
A: We only use our commercial grade lights. Safety and reliability are a priority for our team and we can only guarantee this by using our own lights. Our lights can also be custom cut to any specific length. We also do not use extension cords, so we have to be able to use our adapters on the lights.
Q: What makes your lights better than store bought?
A: Our light strands are rated to 10 amps. Most store bought light strands are rated to 3-5 amps. We can do longer runs with fewer connections making the strands completely custom for your home or office. When we use LED bulbs, we can still custom trim the length of our lights; it is rarely a possibility to trim store bought LED lights.
Q: What are the benefits of LED?
A: LED use 1/10 to 1/80 of the energy of incandescent, this allows for fare more lights on one circuit while using significantly less energy. The. LED would be used for either a desired look, or because of a large amount of lights with limited power sources. The saving in the electric bill rarely offsets the cost of the LED lights.
Q: Why does the cost and energy usage vary so greatly with LED?
A: There are cool and warm LEDs. The Cool LEDs are less expensive, but the whites appear blue and the colors are not traditional. The warm LED allows more red into the light spectrum and provides a more traditional look. The LED light is more expensive as it gets closer to traditional color. This is also the reason that the warm LED uses more energy.
Q: What if my lights have a problem during the season?
A: Our lights and our work are guaranteed the entire season. For as long as you use our service, there is never a repair cost.
Q: Why choose the “Super Saver Package?”
A: This package is designed to make your lighting process simple and affordable. With this package you can choose your combination of lights, book your installation date and have your lights removed and stored in a matter of minutes.
Q: Will the Super Saver Package fit my house?
A: The super saver package comes with 150’ of lights. We apply that 150’ to cover the most visible rooflines. The 150’ covers much more than most people expect. This will cover the top and bottom roofless of the front of almost any home. If you choose to add more, than you can add up to 100’ on the day of your install for $3 per foot.
Q: Do you do trees?
A: We do palm tree trunks up to 15’ high. We do not do multi branch tree trunks or lights in the tops of trees. We do chorus trees under 8’ tall. We only use clear lights in trees.

Our venue is 10 minutes walk downhill from Melbourne railway station – there are regular trains from Sydney and along the coast.
Parking
Parking can be tricky and expensive in Melbourne. Your best option is to use the SecureParking. Make sure you ask staff at the conference venue for a discount card before you leave at the end of the day.
